Turmeric powder is a bright yellow powder made from dried turmeric rhizomes. With large-scale sun drying, sliced rhizomes are laid out on cement floors or bamboo mats and spread into layers. The dried turmeric slices can be ground into turmeric powder using grinding machines and filtering its residues. Curcumin is a bright yellow chemical and an Anti-Cancer agent with numerous other powerful heath benefits, produced by plants of the Curcuma longa species. It is sold as an herbal supplement, cosmetics ingredient, food flavoring, and food coloring.
